Genelia is now all set to debut in the small screen.


Genelia will begin by hosting UTV Bindass' new reality show 'Big Switch'. In the novel format of the show (produced by Endemol), a celeb's offspring will be partnered with a slum child and they have to complete some tasks together. Big Switch will feature 10 rich participants sharing their living space with an equal number of slum dwellers. Interestingly, the show does not have any prize money. 

Bigg Boss 3 contestants Revealed

Amitabh Bachchan will host the show and also play the role of a "pop philosopher".

Sherlyn Chopra in Bigg Boss 3

Finally, the name of one contestant who will be part of Bigg Boss 3 has been revealed and it is none other that the 'Outrageous' girl Sherlyn Chopra. Following the footsteps of Rakhi Sawant and Payal Rohatgi, the sizzling Sherlyn will now be seen adding to the 'oomph' factor in the new season of the hit reality series.

Ironically Sherlyn was approached as a replacement for Jade Goody in the second season but her hefty price demands put off the makers.  

 

Vijender Singh is world no 1 Boxer

Olympic and World Championship bronze medallist Vijender Singh has achieved yet another first for Indian boxing by becoming the world's top-ranked pugilist in the middle weight (75kg) category.

The 23-year-old Indian boxer, who won India’s first ever World Championships medal in Milan earlier in September, tops the list with the 200 points earned and has grabbed a ranking which is higher than the reigning champion, Abbos Atoev of Uzbekistan. Atoev has been pushed down to the third position after he lost to Vijender at World Championship semifinals.

Transformers star Megan Fox is second in Maxin Hot 100 list.
Fox is of Irish, French and Native American ancestry and was born in Oak Ridge.

Fox has been involved with actor Brian Austin Green since 2004, having first met on the set of Fox's show Hope & Faith. It was reported that the couple had ended their relationship in July 2008 and in February 2009;however, Fox and Green both confirmed on both occasions that the two are still in a relationship. Tremendous happiness in making others happy - a good story

A great note for all to read it will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking



Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man o n the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by.

Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it. In his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.

It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased room mate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.

Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.

"Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in their bed.

She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him.

She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.

She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.

'What's the matter, dear?' she whispers as she steps into the room, 'Why are you down here at this time of night?'

The husband looks up from his coffee, 'I am just remembering when we first met 20 years ago and started dating. You were only 16. Do you remember back then?' he says solemnly.

The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive.

'Yes, I do' she replies.

The husband pauses. The words were not coming easily.

'Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?'

'Yes, I remember!' said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.

The husband continues. 'Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?'

'I remember that too' she replies softly.

He wipes another tear from his cheek and says...

'I would have been released today.'

HER DIARY

Day night, I thought he was acting
weird. We had made plans to meet at a
cafe to have some coffee. I was shopping with my friends
all day long, soIely thought he was upset at the fact that I
was a bit late,
but he made no comment.Conversatio n wasn't flowing so

I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk, he agreed but
he kept quiet and absent. I asked
him what was wrong - he said,

"Nothing."I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said it had
nothing to do with me and not to worry.

On the way home I told him that I loved him, he simply smiled and kept
driving. I can't explain his behavior; I don't know why he didn't say, "I love u,too."

When we got home I felt as if I had lost him, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
He just sat there and watched TV.; he seemed distant and absent.Finally I
decided to go to bed. About 10 minutes later he came to bed. I decided
that I could not take it anymore,

so I decided to confront him with the situation but he had fallen asleep.

I started crying and cried until I too fell asleep. I don't know what to
do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.

My life is gonna be a disaster.
